Tomatillos is a San Antonio institution located in the heart of the tourist district near the San Antonio Zoo, Brackenridge Park, and the Witte Museum. It has been in operation for over 25 years and is known for its authentic Mexican cuisine and one of a kind margaritas.
Initially, Embark Marketing was contacted by the owners of Tomatillos to revamp their existing website in June of 2020. Upon inspection of the website, Embark determined a new website would be in the clients best interest, as the previous version had been built in the early 2000’s and would be difficult to conform to modern mobile devices.
Embark Marketing used this opportunity to encourage Tomatillos to allow us to create a new WordPress website that brought the business into the digital age with a sleek new look, and enhanced functionality for users.
Tomatillos wanted a fresh start for their online presence and desired a new website to reflect their new approach to capture more customers and bring awareness to their brand.
By utilizing the WordPress platform, we created a streamlined new site that offered users a mobile friendly experience while showcasing what made Tomatillos unique.
Embark Marketing focused on the profitability of alcohol sales as well as Tomatillos existing reputation for great margaritas by driving customer traffic to their daily specials with call-outs on the Home page.
In the previous version of the site, the few pictures & text provided did not prompt potential customers to want to eat or imbibe at the restaurant. By providing beautiful & crisp photos and refreshing the text with keywords, Embark’s reworking of the site invites customers to eat, drink and experience the Tomatillos brand.
