Week 1: Project Kickoff & Discovery

• Your official project timeline begins after both steps are completed

Weeks 2-5: Initial Build Phase

• Our team begins building your website and will reach out with any further questions or issues
• Regular progress updates will be provided throughout the build process
• Typical timeframe: 30 days for initial build or update completion

Week 6: Client Review Meeting

• Your project lead will reach out to schedule a review meeting to walk through all aspects of the site
• Your team will receive a meeting recap email with link to the test site or new pages
• Client Review Week begins: Client will have one full week to review independently and submit edit requests to the team

Week 7: Revisions

• Our team implements your requested changes
• Timeline may vary based on volume and complexity of edits

Week 8: Final Review & Approval

• Final review meeting scheduled before launch to ensure changes have been approved
• Important: Only minor edits are permitted after this final review meeting as the site will be unavailable for edits during the upload process.

Week 9+: Launch & Grace Period

• Site goes live on agreed-upon launch date discussed in final review meeting
• We offer a one-week grace period for minor tweaking at no additional charge
• During this time you will receive a project completion email which contains any accounts and password information obtained during the project
• After grace period: changes require maintenance plan or à la carte hourly billing

Timeline Considerations

• Scope of Work: Actual timeline depends on the scope of work defined in your contract with Embark Marketing. Larger projects may require additional time to complete.
• Launch Date: Your agreed-upon launch date depends on several factors including project complexity and previous contract commitments.
• CMS Platform: The content management system selected may impact development timeline or feasibility of certain design aspects desired.
• Client Responsibilities: Timely project completion requires your active participation and prompt communication. Delays caused by client-side factors - including but not limited to delayed responses, incomplete materials, additional content requests beyond the original scope, construction delays affecting photography or site access, or failure to meet agreed-upon deadlines - may result in project timeline extensions and may be subject to additional fees. We're here to support you throughout the process and will communicate proactively to keep your project on track.
