Aldo’s Ristorante Italiano is a true Northern Italian delicacy that resides in San Antonio. It began with a chef dedicated to fine dining. Aldo Ghaffari started his restaurant career in Houston with his first job being a bus boy at a local Italian restaurant. His original plan for his future, at the time, had nothing to do with the food and service industry. But as time went on, his passion and commitment turned to Italian fine dining. Once he left Houston, Aldo choose to share his love for Italian cuisine with the San Antonio community.

Aldo’s love for his business is true and genuine. For more than 30 years, he personally greets customers with a smile as they enter his Italian country home style restaurant. He learns his customers personalities, and makes suggestions on the choice of food based on their connection. Aldo has perfected the element of personal and intimate dining. And his perfection has lead to an unforgettable dining experience.

Aldo’s Ristorante Italiano and Embark Marketing teamed up in 2016 to increase the restaurants digital presence through social media, photography and videography. Additionally, Embark Marketing assisted with the restaurants public relations efforts.

Like most business owners now-a-days, Aldo’s aimed to connect with new young professional, millennial consumers. Embark Marketing’s specific experience in the food and beverage industry, plus our appreciation for true fine Italian dining made us the perfect dynamic duo.

Moving forward, Embark Marketing implemented an effective digital marketing strategy designed specifically for Aldo’s Ristorante Italiano. To begin, Aldo’s website went through a total make over. We re-designed the site to provide a fresher look that was more user friendly, mobile compatible & SEO enriched.

Social Media 

Another aspect that needed some amping up was Aldo’s Ristorante Italiano’s social media. Embark introduced Twitter, Instagram and Google Plus to Aldo’s list of social medias. Twitter is a social media that builds quick connections. Aldo’s has to express their mission in less than 140 characters. Short, quick and to the point. Instagram has transformed into a social media monster and Embark Marketing has embraced this potential to showcase Aldo’s. Photos of their mouth-watering pasta was sure to attract any potential customers.

Photography & Videography 

One element that is completely new to Aldo’s is photography and videography. Visual media builds more of a connection to customers as they see the true quality of the product or service they are interested in engaging with. It transcends the viewers to the location of the photo or video. It makes a customer feel as if they were there at Aldo’s ordering the meal themselves.

Since our work began, we have increased the social media following for the restaurant across all platforms. Additionally, we’ve increased website traffic by nearly 25% each month from the previous year. Finally, we have attained several press articles in various print, television & digital publications including KSAT 12 News, the San Antonio Express News, the San Antonio Current, Flicks and Food, Thrillist, Zagat, and more.
